Team India has now departed for Australia for the coveted world cup. The preparations for Team India will start very early as the world cup is bound to start in the third week. However, India is traveling to Australia without their 15th member.
As Jasprit Bumrah is set to miss the world cup due to his back injury. BCCI hasn’t named any replacement for Bumrah. Shami is the most likely candidate to be included in the squad but his COVID situation hasn’t made the decision easy. The positive news is that Shami is showing improvement and he is asked to report at the NCA in Bengaluru.
If in case, Shami is subjected not to be included due to his fitness, BCCI is looking to consider Deepak Chahar and Mohd. Siraj, both are currently included in the ODI squad that plays South Africa.
