Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has announced its support for Muslim reservations in Andhra Pradesh. TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu promised to maintain 4% reservations for Muslims and provide financial aid for mosque upkeep. He also plans to establish the Noor Basha Corporation with an annual budget of Rs 100 crore and introduce pensions for minority community members aged above 50.

Chandrababu also mentioned financial aid for Haj Yatra participants and interest-free loans through a minority finance corporation. Imams and Mouzans will receive honorariums, and qualified Imams will be appointed as government Qazis.

In Andhra Pradesh, where Muslims make up about 9.5% of the population, these initiatives aim to support minority communities.
