Team India’s Wicket-Keeper-batsman Rishabh Pant will be airlifted from Dehradun to Mumbai for further treatments, says BCCI. The Board of Cricket Control in India, BCCI has released a statement regarding Pant’s injury. It states that one of the two ligament tears in his knee needs immediate intervention and hence the decision.

“He will undergo surgery and further procedures for ligament tears. He will be monitored by the BCCI medical team throughout his recovery and rehabilitation. The Board will make every effort to help the recovery process of Pant. The team will always be there to provide support,” the official statement reads.

Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala who has earlier worked with Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and many Olympic athletes will take care of Pant in Mumbai.
