Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has been summoned by Maharashtra’s cyber cell regarding her involvement in promoting the Fairplay app, sister to the Mahadev betting app. She is questioned about the illegal streaming of last year’s IPL on Fairplay, causing significant losses to Viacom.
Actor Sanjay Dutt was also summoned but requested a new date due to being abroad.
The Mahadev case involves allegations of money laundering, with the Enforcement Directorate making several arrests. One prime accused, Ravi Uppal, was detained in Dubai.
On the acting front, Tamannaah has upcoming projects like Aranmanai 4 and Vedaa alongside John Abraham, set for release later this year.
