Justice Alok Aradhe will be appointed as the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court. The President’s approval is likely to come today. The Supreme Court Collegium recommended Alok Aradhe’s name last night. Justice Aradhe is currently serving as the Justice in Karnataka High Court.

Mr. Ujjal Bhuyan, the current Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court is recommended by the Collegium to be elevated to the Supreme Court. Therefore, Alok Aradhe will be filling the vacancy.

Alok Aradhe was appointed Madhya Pradesh High Court Judge in the year 2009. The collegium said, “He has been functioning on transfer since November 2018 as a Judge of the Karnataka High Court and has acquired experience of more than 13 years in dispensing justice in two large High Courts.”

Taking his experience into account the Collegium has recommended his name to be the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court.
