Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy was furious when the Anaparthi Assembly segment was gone to BJP as a part of the alliance. BJP even announced Srinivasa Varma as their candidate here. However, Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy was persistent. He was an influential figure in Anaparthi and a potential winner.
In politics, things change quite quickly and dramatically. Much to everyone’s surprise, Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy left the Telugu Desam Party and immediately joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was only yesterday that he joined the BJP and within a few minutes, he received a B form from BJP to contest the assembly elections from Anaparthi.
AP BJP’s official X account posted, “Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy joined BJP in the state office in the presence of BJP National General Secretary, BJP AP Election Incharge Mr. @ArunSinghbjp, Co-incharge Mr. @SidharthNSingh, State President Mrs. @PurandeswariBJP.”
Ramakrishna Reddy posted photos of him receiving B forms from Daggubati Purandeswari. It was such a tactical move from BJP to rope in Nallamilli. Though some BJP supporters didn’t like the move it was the need of the hour.
