The Supreme Court today heard the anticipatory bail petition of the Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the Fibernet Scam. In a relief to Chandrababu, the Supreme Court extended the interim relief of not arresting him till November 30th. A bench of Justices Aniruddha Bose and Bela M Trivedi while postponing the case to a further case stated that they were in the process of writing the judgment in the Skill Development Case and the verdict would be delivered in the week after the Diwali holidays.

The court will be having holidays from November 13th to November 18th in view of Deepavali. While Siddharth Luthra appeared for Mr. Naidu told the bench that the police should not arrest the petitioner. Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi represented the AP CID.

The agency has alleged irregularities in the AP Fibernet while allocating the project to their favored company. Naidu, aged 73, was already arrested in the Skill Development Scam and is currently on bail on medical grounds.
