The weather in the United States is so cold now that every day the citizens have been witnessing the snowfall. The temperature drops to minus celsius at night. Especially, In Chicago, the temperatures are so low. With these low temperatures, it will be difficult for the trains to get moving. The tracks will be contracted with snow accumulating on them.
To counter this, the maintenance crew is setting the tracks on fire. We can see the trains moving when the tracks are set on fire. Not to worry, these are not the real fire. The heat is generated using the tubular heating system and hot air blowers to heat up the snow accumulated train track.
The United States has been using similar kinds of systems to keep the train system moving. After the completion of the winter season, this system will be removed.
