As per the latest information, the H-1B visa cost could be hiked up to 2000 percent starting January 2024. Thus immigration to the USA is going to be more costlier. The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has proposed a substantial increase in fees for the various immigration processes to the US which include H-1B.

It is said that post-pandemic, USCIS has been facing revenue challenges. So it has proposed a new fee structure. As per the new proposal, the H-1B e-registration fee could rise to 2050 percent, rising from a mere $10 to $215. The petition fee for an H-1B visa application is also slated to increase by 70%, from $460 to $780. There is also a hike in petitions for an L visa. It can see a hike of around 201 percent which is an increase from $460 to $1385. These fee hikes are proposed in January this year and could become a reality in January next year.
