After Twitter and Facebook parental company META, now Amazon is one of the top companies that has joined the layoffs model. In a process to cut off costs, Amazon has decided to lay off 10,000 employees. Reports are coming in that it is one of the biggest layoffs the organization has ever seen.
Amazon has seen huge profits when the COVID pandemic is at its peak when users opted for online shopping and companies used its cloud services. With the Coronavirus declining, normalcy restored and Amazon has recorded the slowest growth rate in two decades.
It is reported that the company faced high losses due to over-investment and rapid expansion during the COVID era. So, the organization has no choice but to join the race of layoffs along with META and Twitter. Amazon will also lay off hundreds of employees in its Indian unit as well.
