The new COVID subvariant JN.1 is slowly showing its effect in the nation. Telangana has seen 6 new infections in the last 24 hours. India has seen a total of 21 new infections of JN.1. Goa has seen 6 new COVID cases.
With the rise in infections, Union Health Minister Mann Sukh Mandaviya conducted a video conference in which Telangana Health Minister Damodara Rajanarsimha participated. He explained the preventive measures the state has been taking to face the new subvariant. Telangana state is witnessing a gradual rise in COVID infections which means the vigilance needs to be more strict.
The reports that the new subvariant JN.1 might be less dangerous sighs relief but one shouldn’t be complacent. Following COVID protocols might ensure safety. The citizens might also think about wearing a mask in crowded places yet again.
