Proving all the speculations wrong, Eknath Shinde is going to be the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Everyone believed that Devendra Fadnavis will become the Maharashtra CM especially after the BJP cadre celebrated the day after Uddhav Thackeray stepped down as the Maharashtra Chief Minister.
Fadnavis made the surprise announcement. “Shiv Sena MLAs were against the wish for an alliance with Congress but Uddhav Thackeray ignored these MLAs. Shiv Sena insulted the mandate of the people. I will stay out of the government,” he said.
Eknath Shinde thanked Fadnavis for his big heart. “Fadnavis could become CM going by the numbers but he has shown a big heart and I thank him. BJP has 120 MLAs but despite that Devendra Fadnavis didn’t take the post of Chief Minister. I express my gratitude to him along with Modi, Amit Shah, and other leaders,” he said.
