Rebel Star Prabhas amidst his commitments has given a nod to act in the direction of Maruthi. It is the first big-ticket film for Maruthi as he only worked with mid-range heroes. Directing a top-range hero is a difficult feat and not many can pull it off. We have seen this with Sarkaru Vaari Paata, as Parasuram who directed a top hero for the first time faltered.
Coming to Maruthi, he has directed films like Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, Mahanubhavudu, and Pratiroju Pandaage which are high on entertainment. However, recently with his recent films, he has gone way too formulaic. His previous flick Manchi Rojulochaie and the current movie Pakka Commercial haven’t created any positive impact.
The reviews are pretty ordinary from the critics. The over-the-top sequences have drawn minimal response. This is obviously a frustrating thing for Prabhas fans. However, Maruthi is confident that he will deliver the best for Prabhas.
