Prabhas mythological drama Adi Purush was announced for Sankranthi 2023 a year back. Since then, the makers are promoting the film keeping in mind the Sankranthi release. However, since the teaser release, the rumors are that the movie will be postponed yet again and a new release date will be announced.
Initially, makers are firm on the release date but now it is confirmed that Adi Purush will not be arriving on the screens during the Sankranthi season. The official confirmation will come out very soon.
Adi Purush might be released in March or so. The reason for this is simple. The makers thought to have a solo release. For Sankranthi, Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy are releasing. In Tamil, Vijay’s Varisu and Ajith’s Thunivu will hit for Sankranthi as well.
An event film like Adi Purush needs to have a solo release. So, the makers took the decision to postpone it.
