The same batting woes continued for Kolkata Knight Riders. Batting first against Delhi Capitals, KKR hasn’t started well. Aaron Finch fell for just 3 playing an ugly heave. Venkatesh Iyer never looked comfortable. Indrajith also fell going for a glory shot. Narine who promoted up the order got out for a golden duck. At one stage KKR was at 83/6 if not for Nitish Rana’s brilliant half-century, KKR’s score would look more miser.

Shreyas Iyer supported with a decent 42 but Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh took KKR to a respectable total of 146 but it clearly looked under-par. Kuldeep starred with 4 wickets. Rishabh’s ploy to go with Lalit Yadav’s off-spin backfired.

Delhi Capitals didn’t start well in the chase. Shaw fell the first ball. Umesh Yadav was on fire yesterday night. He picked up three wickets. David Warner has shown some resistance. After Warner’s wicket, KKR thought that they were in the game but KKR’s fifth bowling option troubled them. Rovman Powell applied the finishing touches.
