After a series of high-scoring entertainers, the Indian Premier League has once again proved that it is unpredictable. The match between Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals ended up being a low-scoring snooze fest.
Delhi Capitals won the toss and elected to bowl first and this decision proved to be a perfect one. Inside the powerplay, the Gujarat Titans lost half their side and since then there was no stopping the flow of the wickets. Apart from Rashid Khan who scored 31 in just 24 balls, there was no resistance from the batters. As a result, GT could only score 89 in their innings. It is their lowest score.
Defending 90 is never going to be enough. Though Delhi Capitals too lost four wickets inside the powerplay, the start they got ensured that there were no hiccups. Rishab Pant completed the formalities. This was a big win for Delhi Capitals which improved their NRR and the vice-versa for Gujarat Titans.
