Indian Women’s Cricket Team wins the Asia Cup title for the record 7th time

Indian Women’s Cricket Team is at it again. They are the dominant sides of the Asia Cup and only missed it for one time in 2018. They won back again this time in a rather one-sided contest. In the finals, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. However, they had a horrible start as they were reduced to five wickets inside the powerplay. Their running between the wickets has been horrible to say the least. Renuka Singh on the other hand bowled beautifully and picked up three wickets in the powerplay.

Their run rate was below par as well and all they could get to is 65 runs in the 20 overs. In reply, Smriti Mandhana scored a quick-fire half-century in just 25 balls to conclude the innings inside 9 overs. Deepti Sharma is the player of the tournament and Renuka Singh was adjudged player of the match.
