Asia Cup for the year 2023 is scheduled to take place in Pakistan. The tournament will be played in the 50-over format owing to the World Cup that will take place later the same year. The World Cup will be hosted by India. It is known that India has stopped traveling to Pakistan for any kind of match. They last played matches in Pakistan for the 2008 Asia Cup.
Now, a BCCI note is being circulated among the state associations ahead of the Annual General Meeting that is scheduled to take place on October 18th. The note lists the multi-nation/ICC events that are scheduled for 2023. “The Indian team will be participating in the following ICC events in 2023.
* ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, South Africa
* ICC Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup, South Africa
* Asia Cup, Pakistan
* ICC Cricket World Cup, India
However, it will be subject to the clearance of the Government of India as always, a BCCI official said.
