Under the new leadership of Rohit Sharma, India has clean swept West Indies in the ODI series with 3-0. There are some of the takeaways from the ODI series.

The biggest takeaway will be the bowling of Prasidh Krishna. He is in the reckoning now. His fiery fast bowling on slow Indian conditions will give a major boost to the fast bowling department. Even Rohit Sharma has complemented that he hasn’t seen a fast bowling spell like this in recent times. Mohammad Siraj has complemented Prasidh Krishna well.

The middle-order is one of the biggest takeaways. India’s strength has always been top 3 batting. However, for this series, top-order batting hasn’t clicked well. Virat Kohli has failed in all three ODIs. Rohit Sharma too fell flat after the first one day. Dhawan, Pant, Ishan Kishan for the three ODIs hasn’t done well either. But Surya Kumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, and the lower middle order contributed well in the series throughout taking India to respectable totals.

The spin duo Chahal and Kuldeep has been back in form. Chahal was extremely impressive in the first two ODIs. Even Kuldeep took two wickets in the final ODI. Rohit hinted that these two will play in the same match very soon.
