BCCI has announced the ODI and T20 squad for the upcoming home West Indies tour. Rohit Sharma who has missed South Africa tour citing hamstring injury has proved full fitness and is back to leading the team for both formats. Leg Spinner Ravi Bishnoi has earned call-up with his impressive performances in the IPL. Kuldeep Yadav who has been on the sidelines for a long time has been recalled for the ODI squad, so is Deepak Hooda. This has been the surprise inclusion.
Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami has been given rest. Bhuvneshwar Kumar missed out in the ODI squad. Ravichandran Ashwin hasn’t been named in the ODI and T20 setup as well. Washington Sundar who missed South Africa tour due to COVID has been included in the squad as well. Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja who haven’t recovered completely haven’t been picked as well.
