The top three Rohit, Kohli, and KL Rahul are automatic choices into the playing XI. It’s been a while since the top 3 have played together.
The latest sensation Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and Hardik Pandya are going to follow suit which leaves only one batting slot left. Playing Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik will leave with only three bowling options left. Team India management can’t risk having only five bowling options.
So, either Pant or Karthik is going to play on the side. Going by the current trends, Pant might get a nod ahead of Karthik. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravichandran Ashwin, and another fast bowling option will feature in the playing XI.
