Kamal Haasan and Shankar teamed up for the much-anticipated sequel Indian 2 and this project took off before COVID-19. After that, Indian 2 has faced a lot of hardships. It was put on hold for various reasons and even the issue went before the court. Indian 2 shooting finally resumed last year and now as per the latest update, the entire shooting of Indian 2 is wrapped.
With post-production works in place, the team is planning to have a Summer 2024 release. Currently, the VFX works which have an extensive scope are being worked on. The news is that Shankar and Kamal Haasan have worked out Indian 3 as well and the buzz is that a considerate portion of Indian 3 has been shot too. It will be released in 2025, says early reports.
Kajal Agarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, and Siddharth will be seen in important roles in Indian 2. Apart from Indian 2, it is well known that Shankar is directing Game Changer which has Ram Charan in the lead role.
