It is known that NRI Vuyyuru Srinivasa Rao has been arrested by the Police following the unfortunate Guntur stampede which killed three women and several others injured. Following this, YS Jagan‘s government has implied restrictions on rallies and public meetings on roads.
Now, A YSRCP MLA, Vasantha Krishna Prasad from the Mylavaram constituency has expressed his displeasure over the arrest of NRI Vuyyuru Srinivasa Rao. He said that the arrest of the NRI will send wrong signals to the other NRIs who are doing a great job in the state through social service and might scare them away.
Vasantha Krishna Prasad urged the government to reconsider Vuyyuru Srinivasa Rao’s arrest as he is a good man and is serving the people in the state through several charitable organizations. His own Vuyyuru foundation was engaged in several service activities, he said.
We have to wait and see how the YSRCP government will react to these comments.
