Telangana High Court grants permission for YS Sharmila’s padayatra

YSRTP Chief YS Sharmila has finally gotten relief as the Telangana High Court has issued orders clearing the blocks for her padayatra. It is known that her padayatra came to a halt on November 28th after Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders attacked the padayatra after her objectionable comments against the local MLA at Warangal. Police ordered Sharmila to stop the padayatra in view of the tense situation as already her bus was set afire and stones were pelted.

YS Sharmila resisted and she was taken into custody and shifted to Hyderabad. The next day Sharmila tried to reach Pragati Bhavan and Police towed her car while she was still in it. After a couple of days, YS Sharmila sat on indefinite fasting in demand to give permission for her padayatra.

As her vitals were going down, Police had no option but to take her into custody and shifted her to the hospital.

After all these, YS Sharmila gets respite as the court has allowed continuing the padayatra but the court cautioned her to abide by the conditions imposed earlier.
