YSRTP President YS Sharmila is continuing the indefinite fast at her residence. YS Sharmila is demanding permission for her Padayatra which has been denied already a couple of times. YS Sharmila continued her fasting for the second day at her Lotus Pond residence, Banjara Hills.
Heavy Police personnel has been deployed at her residence. Sharmila’s mother YS Vijayamma is supporting her. She is participating in indefinite fasting as well. YS Sharmila on this occasion made it clear that she will continue fasting till she gets permission for the Padayatra.
Initially, YS Sharmila was detained on Saturday after she sat on the fast at Dr. Ambedkar’s statue at Tank Bund. Police dropped her at Lotus Pond. She then sat outside near her house and started fasting. Police detained her again and forced her into the house.
The doctors have now confirmed that YS Sharmila’s health is deteriorating. She is not taking water at least. A doctor confirmed that her BP, Glucose levels are down and she needs to be shifted immediately to a hospital.
