Bharat Rashtra Samithi in a statement has announced Naveen Kumar Reddy as its candidate for the MLC by-election from Mahabubnagar local bodies constituency. The elections will take place on March 28th and BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao finalized Naveen Kumar Reddy’s name after taking into account the views of the party leaders.

The candidate earlier used to serve as the vice-chairman of the united Mahabubnagar Zilla Parishad. The vacancy was formed after Kasireddy Narayan Reddy from BRS resigned and successfully contested in the recent assembly elections from the Kalwakurthy constituency on a Congress ticket.

The nominations will be received from March 4th to March 11th. Elections will be conducted on March 28th and the counting will be held on April 2nd. BRS leader and former minister S. Niranjan Reddy expressed confidence in grabbing the MLC seat. He said that out of the 1,445 votes, 1006 were elected from BRS ‘B’ form. He called the party leaders to work unitedly in the Mahabubnagar district for the victory of the candidate.
