Arun Pillai, one of the key accused, who has agreed to the ED that he is a close aide to Kalvakuntla Kavitha has today filed a petition in the Delhi court to retract his statement given to the ED. He has stated before the court that the statement was given to the ED under duress and hence wants to take back his statement.
As per the latest information, the court has summoned ED regarding this petition. Earlier, based on his statement, Kalvakuntla Kavitha was summoned before ED and she will be questioned tomorrow in Delhi.
Before D-day, it is a key development and we have to wait and see how things pan out. Kavitha is currently in Delhi staging a protest demanding the Women’s Reservation Bill. The protests are continuing at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar where 16 leaders from various opposition parties supported Kavitha.
