In a surprise move, the probe agency Enforcement directorate has issued fresh notices to Telangana MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha to appear before them for questioning in the case related to Delhi Liquor Scam today. So far, Kavitha appeared before ED for investigation three times and she last attended on March 21st where she was grilled for hours.
However, Kavitha is not ready to appear for questioning and requested more time. It is said that Kavitha sent her legal advisor Soma Bharat to the ED office regarding the same.
Incidentally, Kavitha hasn’t got a favorable decision on her writ petition which she filed against the ED. The Supreme Court has adjourned the case for three weeks and hasn’t been obliged to Kavitha’s request not to arrest her.
With this, tension atmosphere again prevailed in the BRS camp office. We have to wait and see how ED responds to Kavitha’s request and the further consequences.
