The Indian tourists visiting the nation Singapore have dropped to record numbers. Singapore Tourism Board (STB) released statistics of the impact COVID has created on the tourism department. During 2019, which is pre-covid, as many as 1.42 million Indians have visited Singapore but in 2021, the number dropped to a record low. Only 54,000 Indian tourists have visited the country. They have only 3,33,000 visitors in the previous year which is also their lowest number.

However, Singapore Tourism Board stated that the situation is optimistic. There is a significant growth in the last quarter of 2021. Although Singapore is also one of the top 10 most visited destinations in India, many are of the opinion that the regulations implemented in both the countries in the wake of the corona may have affected the number of tourists.

Singapore is gradually relaxing its pandemic border restrictions.
