Prime Minister Narendra Modi has concluded his eventful three-day US state visit. His next stop is Egypt. He left for the country for a two-day state visit which is his first trip to the country. This is also the first bilateral trip to Egypt by an Indian PM after 1997. While the previous visits were for multilateral events.

Narendra Modi said in a tweet, “Concluding a very special USA visit, where I got to take part in numerous programs and interactions aimed at adding momentum to the India-USA friendship. Our nations will keep working together to make our planet a better place for the coming generations.”

Modi will pay a state visit to Egypt on June 24th, 25th at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. It is well known that the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi visited India for the Republic Day celebrations. During his two-day state visit, Modi will pay a visit to the 11th-century Al-Hakim Mosque. He will also be paying tributes to the Indians who sacrificed their lives during World War I at the Heliopolis War Cemetry.
