Cherukuri Ramoji Rao, The Chairman of Margadarsi Chit Fund Private Limited has been summoned by AP CID to attend for questioning on July 5th in the case of financial irregularities of the company. Along with Ramoji Rao, AP CID has also summoned Margadarsi Managing Director Sailaja Kiran, who is also the daughter-in-law of Ramoji Rao and Margadarsi branch manager of Arundalpet, Guntur district.
The CID in the summons mentioned that it need more information regarding the financial irregularities and wanted to question all three collectively for more information. Ramoji Rao was earlier questioned in connection to this case while he was in bed. The entire questioning was videographed. Sailaja Kiran was questioned earlier this month for around 11 hours after her return from the United States.
Ramoji Rao, the business tycoon is currently aged 86 and is battling age-related ailments. We have to wait and see whether he attends the questioning or seeks any exemption.
