Andhra Pradesh CID has today served notices to Telugu Desam Party general secretary Nara Lokesh. The ACB court has directed the CID to serve notice to Lokesh and seek his explanation. The notices were served in connection to the red book threats he is giving constantly in his speeches. The notices were sent to Nara Lokesh via WhatsApp and he confirmed the receipt of the notices.

Nara Lokesh has been stating about this red book in his speeches. As per that, there are names of the officials in the red book who tried to go against the law to trouble their party activists and members and Lokesh stated that he would hand over the same book to TDP Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu. There will be the strongest action against those officials, once the Telugu Desam Party comes into power after the 2024 elections.

The CID alleged that the threats were aimed at the witnesses of the Skill Development Scam Case by Nara Lokesh and it is a clear violation of the 41A notice given to him in the past.
