Former Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has praised PM Narendra Modi and said that Modi did not take any revenge for what he did while in Congress. He said that the PM behaved like a skilled politician.

At the same time, he said about the top Congress leadership, “I have overcome the problem of sitting in queues of senior leaders who are expected to sit in front of the ED headquarters or protest in Surat (to show support for Rahul Gandhi). Many senior leaders had gone to Surat.”

Azad said, “I will give credit to Modi. He was generous with whatever I did.”

He referred to his tenure as the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament on behalf of the Congress, during which some bills could not be passed.

He praised Modi that he did not take any revenge for this. He said that Modi treated the opposition like a statesman on issues like Article 370, CAA, Hijab.

This is not the first time that Ghulam Nabi Azad has praised Modi. In the year 2021, he praised Modi because he did not hide that he comes from the village and used to sell tea.

Although PM Modi also praised Azad and called him his true friend. He had said, “Power comes and goes, but only a few people know how to remain balanced. Whatever he did over the years, I respect him as a friend.”

He said that no one has gone back from his newly formed party. He said that ‘three leaders were expelled from the party. But it was said that 37 leaders went to Congress. These 37 people could be anyone, but none of them was a leader.

In the year 2022, Azad resigned from the primary membership of Congress and formed a party named Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) in Jammu and Kashmir.
