The high COVID positive cases in the country are continuing to register. As per the Union Health Ministry’s latest data, India registered 5,676 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. With this, the active caseload has increased to 37,093.
With the surge in COVID cases, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has issued a statement. It asked the people not to panic amid high positive cases. “Don’t panic. We have controlled it before, We will do it now also with your support. Covid cases are rising, but don’t panic. Maintain hygiene,” stated Indian Medical Association.
So far, 2.2 billion COVID vaccines have been administered. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan has reviewed the COVID situation in the state. He directed the health department to be prepared for all kinds of emergencies given the rise in COVID cases.
