The COVID-positive cases are getting increased day by day. There is a 20 percent rise in COVID infections when compared to yesterday. According to the Union Health Ministry data, India logged 5,335 new COVID cases which are 900 more than the previous day. The number of active infections in the country has crossed 25,000.
The infections for a day has crossed 5,000 for the first time since September last year. The active cases comprise 0.05 percent of the total infections. The number of people who have recovered from the disease is 44,182,538 which is 98.76 percent of the total tally. The COVID-related deaths so far have crossed 530,929.
As per the official data, over 2.2 billion doses of vaccines have been administered so far. Both central and state governments have urged people to be vigilant about the deadly virus and stay alert.
