PS-1 crashes huge on the first Monday in the Telugu States

Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 defied all odds and performed on a bright note over the weekend in the Telugu States and Tamil Nadu as well. Particularly in Tamil Nadu, the movie set the box office on fire.

Overseas particularly, the movie was sensational. PS-1 crossed 4 million USD in the US making it the highest collected Tamil movie.

However, the movie has seen a huge fall in the Telugu States on the first Monday. The collections are very low. PS-1 in Telugu will face stiff competition from Chiranjeevi’s GodFather and Nagarjuna’s The Ghost.

So, the project will fall short of breakeven in Telugu. Dil Raju has presented this movie in Telugu States.
