India has gone another step closer the victory. They beat Bangladesh in the quarter-finals not quite comfortably but a win is a win in the end. With this win, it is a little give back to Bangladesh who beat India in 2020 Under 19 World Cup finals. Bowling first, India has struck early as Ravi Kumar’s opening spell proved too much to Bangladesh. He took 3 wickets in his opening spell of 5 overs and gave only 5 runs. With this effort, Bangladesh was reduced to 56 for 7.
However, a 50 run partnership for the 8th wicket gave Bangladesh a 100 plus total. However, they were bundled out for 111. In reply, there was an early setback for India as they lost Harnoor Singh for a duck in the second over. Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Shai Rasheed then stitched a partnership for the second wicket which slashed the target to a little over 40 runs.
There was yet another mini-collapse and India lost four quick wickets. However, India managed to complete the victory with five wickets in hand. Now, they will clash with Australia on February 2nd for the semi-final.
