Ahead of the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, many leaders and workers from the YSR Congress Party in the Bhimili constituency have switched to the Telugu Desam Party. The joint candidate for the Bhimili Assembly, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, welcomed them by offering yellow scarves at his home.

During the gathering, Ganta Srinivasa Rao expressed confidence in the upcoming coalition government in the state, announcing Chandrababu Naidu’s oath as Chief Minister on June 9. He also mentioned the positive feedback received for the alliance manifesto.
Moreover, former GVMC panchayat ward member T Kondababu from Peda Uppada village’s 4th ward joined TDP along with 20 families. The event was attended by TDP ward president Pasi Narasingrao, Kari Apparao, and other party members.
This shift of YCP members to TDP indicates a significant change in political loyalties in Visakhapatnam, hinting at potential shifts in the region’s political scene.
