India has ended its Super 12s in style. The team beat Zimbabwe with no mercy as India won by a massive margin of 71 runs. It is a real boost up for Team India ahead of the semifinal clash. With India table-topping Group 2, the team is going to clash with England in the second semifinal that is going to happen in Adelaide on the 10th of November.
Batting first, Rohit Sharma fell early again. Virat Kohli struggled to get going. But it is KL Rahul who once again shone with the bat. He scored a quick half-century. Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant looked rusty. However, it was the special show of Suryakumar Yadav that changed the complete momentum.
He scored 61 in just 25 balls taking India’s total to 186 runs. In reply, Zimbabwe never got going. India’s early swing by Bhuvi and Arshdeep proved too good for the Zimbabwe batters. Apart from Burl and Raza, no one applied themselves. As a result, they got bundled out for 115. All six bowlers got at least a wicket each.
