By now everyone is aware that Jasprit Bumrah will miss the upcoming T20 world cup due to a back strain. BCCI the other day announced the news that he will be missing the upcoming T20 world cup.
“The BCCI Medical team has ruled out Team India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup squad. The decision was taken following a detailed assessment and in consultation with the specialists,” said BCCI’s official press note.
The BCCI has now confirmed the replacement for Bumrah. Mohd. Shami has replaced him. It is known that Shami was named as the stand by for the T20 world cup and with Bumrah’s exit, he was abducted into the squad.
It is said that Mohd. Siraj has been named as the new standby. An official announcement will be given very soon.
