The decider match between India and England is no less than a thriller. There are many ups and downs in this match with victory playing hide and seek with both sides. However, it followed a routine template for both sides. The opening faltered and a healthy partnership was in the middle order.
Batting first, Roy looked positive but Bairstow and Root fell in the same over to Siraj. Stokes and Roy batted positively but come Hardik Pandya and scalped both of them. Buttler combined aggression with caution and as a result, he top scored with 60. As a result, England managed to put on 259.
In reply, the top 3 once again failed badly. Rohit Sharma, Dhawan, and Virat Kohli have fallen for low scores. Suryakumar Yadav after looking promising got out. At one stage, India is 72/4 and England is cruising for victory but a quick half-century from Pandya and a maiden ton from Pant made India shore safely to victory.
Pandya was the man of the series and Pant bagged man of the match.
