The 10 teams for the upcoming World Cup are ready. The qualifiers have ended and Sri Lanka, Netherlands have become the 9th and 10th teams to qualify for the mega tournament. Sri Lanka has already qualified for the tournament by winning four matches in four and the second spot turned out to be more drama. First, it was Zimbabwe that was eliminated when Scotland beat them and in turn Netherlands won the match against Scotland to pip them to the third place.

So, the Netherlands has qualified directly with four wins in five games. The game between Sri Lanka and West Indies which will be played today has no significance as West Indies have already been eliminated. The Netherlands last participated in a World Cup in 2011 when it was hosted by India.

Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and South Africa have already qualified for the tournament by gaining the top 8 places in the table. The first match of the tournament will be played between England and New Zealand on October 5th at Ahmedabad.
