It’s been a decade since Mumbai Indians have won their first game in the IPL. In IPL 2022, everyone thought that will change and Rohit Sharma led franchise might bag their first win. However, MI has done its best to lose this game. Their bowlers went all over the ground in the second half of their innings.

Batting first, Mumbai Indians put a par score of 177 with useful contributions from Rohit Sharma, Tilak Varma. Ishan Kishan top-scored the innings with 81 in just 48 balls. While chasing Delhi Capitals had a blistering start. Tim Seifert scored a rapid quick 21 in just 14 balls. However, Tim, Mandeep, Rishabh Pant, Rovman Powell, Prithvi Shaw fell in quick succession taking the score to 72 for 5.

Shardul Thakur went after the Mumbai bowling by scoring 22 in 11 balls. Lalit Yadav played the anchor innings. Axar Patel finished off in style by scoring 38 runs at a strike rate of 223.53. The duo scored 75 in just 30 balls.
