In a must-win game, Delhi Capitals fumbled big time or we can say Rishabh Pant has let his team. The two actions of his have cost him and his teammates the playoff spot. Batting first Delhi Capitals haven’t got the best start. However, Rishabh Pant and Rovman Powell took the team forward. Their 75 runs partnership stabilized the innings. Axar Patel came at the end and gave the finishing touches. He scored 19 in just 10 balls. Powell scored 43 and Pant 39 runs. Finally, they could make 159 runs.

Chasing a modest total of 160, MI got to its worst possible start. Rohit Sharma who was in a hell of form just scored 2 in 13 balls. Dewald Brevis and Ishan Kishan’s partnership set the course to chase the target. However, both of them fell in quick succession but not before Brevis’s dropped catch by Pant.

Tim David has nicked the first ball to the keeper. However, the umpire didn’t raise the finger and Rishabh Pant didn’t challenge the decision and it turned out to be vital as he scored a quick 34 and took the team near the total. Ramandeep Singh completed the formalities.

With this MI win, RCB became the fourth team to qualify for the playoffs.
