In the first ODI against Zimbabwe, India secured an easy win. Zimbabwe was asked to bat first. Zimbabwe didn’t address the opening combination. Innocent Kaia, Marumani, Madhevere, Sean Williams… all fell to the low scores. Deepak Chahar accounted for the first three wickets. The first four wickets fell within 10 overs.
Deepak Chahar, Prasidh Krishna, and Axar Patel took three wickets each. Chakabva top scored with 35 runs. While Brad Evans and Ngarava scored 33 and 34 runs respectively. Other than these three, others haven’t been effective.
In the chase, it is all easy peasy for Team India. Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill who opened the innings didn’t be troubled much as they scored in the 80s to chase 190 in just 30 overs. Deepak Chahar who broke the top order of the Zimbabwe innings was adjudged man of the match. The second match will happen on 20th August at the same venue.
