The semifinal spots for the Women’s world cup 2022 have turned interesting. Two spots for the semifinal clash were booked by Australia and South Africa. Australia won six out of their six games and sat pretty comfortably on the top. South Africa has lost only one match and today’s match against West Indies has been washed out. Each team was given a point. With 9 points in six games, South Africa has qualified for the semi-finals as well.
West Indies on the other hand has completed its league matches and has gained 7 points. England and India are on 6 points each. With a massive win against Pakistan, England has surpassed India in terms of net run rate. Their last match will be with Bangladesh which might be comfortable for them to win.
As far as India is concerned they need to win its last match against South Africa. If they lose it will be mostly curtains for them as England losing its final match is highly unlikely. India will play South Africa on March 27th.
