It is well known that Team India pacer Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of the ODI series against South Africa. Deepak Chahar after the third T20I against South Africa complained about stiffness in his back and had to miss the first ODI in Lucknow and he was now ruled out of the remaining two ODIs.

Deepak Chahar will now attend the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and address his problem. On the other side, BCCI has named the replacement of Deepak Chahar.

India’s spinning allrounder Washington Sundar has been named as the replacement for Deepak Chahar for the last 2 ODIs against South Africa.

Washington last played an ODI against West Indies in Ahmedabad in February this year. After losing in Lucknow, Team India looks to level the series in Ranchi where the second ODI will be played.
