India won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2-1. This is the fourth consecutive BGT series win for them and it is the first time that happened. The Ahmedabad test which started on a sleeping note with nothing much happening on the pitch has ended in a stale draw. Only 21 wickets fell in total which is the lowest in India after a long time.

Australia started the fifth day of the fourth test well. Though the nightwatchman fell early, Head and Labuschagne batted with ease. They negotiated the bowlers well, though not have scored them quickly. In the second session, only the Head wicket fell. There were a couple of chances though but wicket-keeper KS Bharat had an ordinary day behind the wickets.

While Virat Kohli was adjudged the man of the match for his superb 186, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were the joint players of the series. Finally, Border Gavaskar Trophy ended up 2-1 and both these sides will battle for the test mace at the Oval.
