Siddharth was a lover boy when he did the film Oye! Anand Ranga was the director of the movie. Oye was a flop at the box office at the time of its release though its content was appreciated. The songs of the film were later turned evergreen.
Oye had a re-release yesterday on the eve of Valentine’s Day. The film competed with many other romantic films which were released on the same day. Yet, Oye managed to collect Rs. 1.5 Crores gross which was fantastic. It is the highest-grossing re-release of 2024. For comparison, Siddharth’s last theatrical release Chinna had only collected Rs. 15 lakhs despite repeated requests of Siddharth to watch an honest and sincere effort.
The makers of Oye are quite happy with the response the film has got. Siddharth and director Anand Ranga are going to watch Oye tomorrow at the Sri Ramulu Theater in Hyderabad.
