If the speculations are anything to go by, the ruling party YSRCP is looking to field Late Krishnam Raju’s wife Shyamala Devi as an MP. The party is thinking to make her contest from Narsapuram where Krishnam Raju’s community dominates. Currently, YSRCP rebel MP Raghurama Krishna Raju is representing this constituency and as he rebelled against the party, definitely he is not going to contest from YSRCP.
He is likely to contest from the rival party of YSRCP. The ruling party in his place is thinking to field Krishnam Raju’s wife Shyama Devi. Politics is not new to Krishnam Raju’s family. The Rebel Star was a key leader in BJP and has won as an MP two times – one from Kakinada and the other from Narsapuram.
It is said that due to the Raju community’s large presence in the area, Shyamala Devi might be a good option to contest against Raghu Rama Krishna Raju. However, we have to wait for an official confirmation.
